Programnote

Rush, Gently Multiplies - Three Etudes for Big Band

I. RUSH
II. GENTLY
III. MULTIPILIES.

Programnote

Rush Gently Multiplies consists of three independant short pieces that played together makes up a suite. The music basiccally rises the question of whether a classical composers point of view is of any benefit for the Big Band. Or if maybe the Big Band sound inevitably will change that view, and as soon as the bass, drum and guitar sets off, will merge into - just jazz. Some variety, maybe, but fundamentally jazz, because the sound of jazzmusicians drum and bass is unescapable. So the next and only important question is: This composers music. Does it work?
