Programnote

Song for piano and Ensemble is - besides being a work in its own right - also third movement of  "Das verlassne Mägdelein"

Hommáge a Arvo Pärt

Other "for Ensemble"-works:

Programnote

Song for piano and Ensemble is marked by my fascination of the music of Arvo Pärt: It's strictness and severe purity. In "Song..." this purity is taken into my polyphonic thinking, and has been added rythmic and melodic counterpoints. But I have maintained one very important principle: We never leave C-major (or rather C-jonic)! The work is part of a trilogy for ensemble written for the Danish Chamberplayers. In this trilogy (named: "Das verlassne Mägdelein) the work appears as third movement.
